Who says you have to be in a gym to get moving and get active? You make the choice to live healthier all day, not just when at the gym. People think going to the gym is hard, it's the other 22+ hours of the day that is challenging; eating healthier, adequate rest, proper hydration, eating better, stretching, moving around at work, proper nutrition...You get the gist of it.
It's the little things in life, like parking at the edge of the parking lot. Not just because you don't want any door dings, but because chances are you can walk just fine, and should be taking advantage! That extra little walk will not kill you, nor will taking the stairs instead of the escalator(elevator may be an exception if it is a drastically tall building.) Once you get into a routine it's just the norm, all you worry about after is maintenance.
500 kcals per day adds up to one pound per week! Remember; every little thing you do adds up. Whether it's stairs, one less soda per day or trading your TV time for exercise; each small thing adds up to bigger change.
